Jewelry Workshop - Precious Metal Clay with Michele Clagett

Beginners and Returning Students Welcome!

Students will learn techniques for working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC) to create jewelry pieces of silver or copper. 
Class fee includes firing, and antiquing if desired. The pieces will be returned to you after they are fired and tumbled in a polisher. 
Students will need to purchase copper or sterling silver metal clay the day of class (starting at $12). All other materials will be provided. Embeddable stones and fittings will also be available for an additional cost. 
Students may choose to bring their own sketch ideas and items for texturizing and stamping clay.

COST: $ 45 plus purchase of metal clay ($12 and up)
AGES: 18 and Up

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Michele Clagett graduated from Pennsylvania School of Art and Design in Lancaster and Lebanon Valley College with an interior design degree. 
For years, she had sketchbooks filled with jewelry designs and had a strong desire to make wearable art. Seven years ago, she started taking classes in metal clay and metalsmithing. 
For the last three years, she has been teaching classes at the Mt. Gretna Chatauqua Summer Art Series, Aurora Bead Shop in Cleona, and The Distelfink Artisans Craft Guild in Schaefferstown. 
She is the artist & jeweler behind Timber Hills Studios, and sells her work locally at Lebanon Picture Frame & Fine Art Gallery, and online atEtsy.com 
Michele enjoys sharing her skills and the creative exchange that comes from working with students.
